WHO COULD HAVE FORSEEN 9-11?

WASHINGTON -- U.S. and Italian officials were warned in July that Islamic terrorists might attempt to kill President Bush and other leaders by crashing an airliner into the Genoa summit of industrialized nations, officials said Wednesday...

... Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak said his government provided information to the United States about possible attacks on the Genoa summit by Saudi-born terrorist Osama bin Laden. "There was a question of an airplane stuffed with explosives. As a result, precautions were taken."

Italian officials took... extraordinary precautions during the July summit of the Group of 8 nations, including closing the airspace over Genoa and stationing antiaircraft guns at the city's airport.... Italian Deputy Prime Minister Gianfranco Fini... said: "...the Italian secret services... got the information that there was the possibility of an attack against the U.S. president using an airliner. That's why we closed the airspace and installed the missiles..."

PLANTING WMD

Tehran Times says "U.S. forces have unloaded a large cargo of parts for constructing long-range missiles and weapons of mass destruction (WMD) in the southern ports of Iraq."

If true, the US might make an announcement of a "discovery" sometime this summer.
If not true, Iran could have made up the story in retaliation for being hassled over their nuclear program.

9-11 FIREFIGHTER COFFIN AD

"...Images of September 11 cascaded across the screen, firemen carrying a flag-draped coffin at Ground Zero juxtaposed against another firefighter raising the flag. Bush's slogan: "Steady leadership in times of change".

"Where the hell did they get those guys?" responded the president of the International Association of Fire Fighters. It turned out that the firefighters in the ads were hired actors - "cheaper and quicker", as a Republican party spokesman explained."
